摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device capable of preventing the occurrence of crosstalk due to the influence of an electric field formed between pixel rows and light conductivity in a high luminance state without degrading high contrast and gradation. SOLUTION: Vertically oriented liquid crystal 43 having negative dielectric constant anisotropy is held between a driving substrate 41 and a counter substrate 42, an interval between a pixel outer peripheral part 118 of a reflection electrode 413 on the inter-row side of pixels and a counter electrode 422 is set longer than an interval between a pixel center part 117 and the electrode 422, an interval compensating insulation layer 119 is formed so as to hold the cell thickness of the liquid crystal 43 by the pixel outer peripheral part 118, and light shielding layers are formed between the rows and columns of the electrodes 413.
