The gas pressure gun has a breech (10) for a slug (5), a lock (30) with closable end and a gas channel (12, 22) through which the pressurized gas enters the breech to accelerate the slut. The lock can be accelerated by the pressurized gas in the opposite direction to the acceleration of the slug towards the muzzle. The lock can be moved by the operation of a trigger to its initial position, in which it closes the breech. By moving the lock towards the muzzle, the input of pressurized gas to the breech is stopped.
