<p>Novel fused imidazopyridine derivatives represented by general formula (I) which have the effects of increasing the low-density lipoprotein receptor content, lowering the blood lipid level, and lowering the blood sugar level; wherein the ring Q represents an optionally substituted pyridine ring; one of R?1 and R2¿ represents hydrogen while the other represents optionally substituted lower alkyl; Y0 represents a bond or optionally substituted divalent hydrocarbon group; Z0 represents a basic group optionally mediated by oxygen, nitrogen, -CO-, -CS, -SO¿2N(R?3)- (wherein R3 represents hydrogen or optionally substituted hydrocarbyl) or S(O)¿n? (wherein n is 0, 1 or 2); and ---- represents a single or double bond.</p> |
