PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject yarn, having water absorbing and moisture absorbing and desorbing properties comparable to those of natural fibers and suitable for clothes such as sportswear by carrying out the interlacing treatment of core-sheath type conjugated fibers comprising a core component composed of a modified water-insoluble polyethylene oxide and a sheath component composed of a polyamide.
