PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a motor compact and high performance by providing a stronger field during washing and a weaker field during dehydrating and controlling the number of rotation. SOLUTION: A motor 17 is constituted of a three-phase induction motor and either a wire wound type or a cage type induction motor is used. A solid cage type induction motor is especially pref. A variable frequency control device 18 is constituted of a vector control inverter. E.g. a speed sensorless vector control inverter is used. In addition, a clutch 19b is directly connected with a pulsator 9 side in washing process and with a basket 7 side in dehydrating and drying processes. Electric power is supplied to the motor 17 through a reduction unit 19a from the variable frequency control device 18. In addition, during washing, a stronger field control is performed and during dehydrating, a weaker field control is performed and the number of rotation of the motor is set respectively to about 1,200 rpm during washing and 9,000 rpm during dehydrating. It is possible thereby to make the motor compact and high performance. |
