PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical pleated filter cartridge having excellent filtration accuracy and stability in chemical resistance, liquid permeability, filtering life and filtering accuracy. SOLUTION: This filter cartridge consists of a laminated body of at least three members of a fluorocarbon resin fine porous film, a multicomponent superfine fiber nonwoven fabric and a long-fiber nonwoven fabric. The structural fibers of the multicomponent superfine fiber nonwoven fabric consist of two or more components of thermoplastic resins with >=15 deg.C max. difference in the melting point among the components, and the structural fibers are heat- bonded and have <=10μm average fiber diameter. The laminated body is folded into pleats and formed into a cylinder.
