The shoe cream contains, based on its total weight, 0.01-10 % by weight of a pyrogenically produced and hydrophobically treated silica. The product bearing the trademark "Aerosil" R 972 is particularly suitable for this purpose; it may also be used in the densified form bearing the additional mark "V". Shoes treated in the usual manner with this shoe cream show excellent resistance to water staining in use. |
