PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which is superior in a preservation characteristic under high-temperature environment and moreover superior a discharge characteristic under low-temperature environment. SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which a negative electrode active material 6 is made of lithium or a lithium alloy, and a heat resistance resin having a continuous heatproof temperature of 150 deg.C or more is used for a gasket 8, which lies between a negative electrode terminal and a positive electrode terminal, a nonaqueous electrolyte contains 5-35 vol.% of an ethylene carbonate (EC) as an organic solvent. As organic solvents other than EC,γ-butyl lactone or a propylene carbonate may be enumerated, and either or both of these are used. A high boiling point of EC gives a good stability under a high- temperature environment, and a high specific inductive capacity of EC improves discharge performance, even under a low-temperature environment. |
