Polyurethane containing one or more cyclic polysaccharides with 2-14 sugar units in which at least one of the hydroxyl groups in each unit is alkoxylated. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a process for the production of this PUR by reacting polyisocyanates with compounds containing at least two reactive hydrogens in presence of a premixed combination of alkoxylated cyclic polysaccharide(s) as above (ACP) and amine(s); (b) complexes of amines and ACP; (c) a process for the production of these complexes by bringing the ACP and amine into contact; (d) polyurethane obtained by process (a); (e) foam, fibres, film, coatings, paints and moldings containing PUR as above.
