A shut-off valve with housing (2) and main body (22) on which a closure spring (16) exerts pressure, is moved into an open position against the force of the closure spring, for filling the pressurised container. A locking piece (34) locks the main valve body in the valve open position. A release mechanism (42,50,52) activated by the pressure in the container, releases the locking piece when a pre-set threshold pressure in the container is exceeded. The locking piece has a locking element in the form of a lever swivel mounted on the valve housing and co-operating with a detent (30) on the main valve body. |
