SOLID LUBRICATING FILM COMPOSITION AND PLAIN BEARING MATERIAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bearing material having a high wear resistance and a good sliding property. SOLUTION: A solid lubricating film composition contains from 30 to 70 vol.% of at least one resin chosen from a polyimide resin and a polyamideimide resin having a tensile strength of 100 MPa or larger and from 30 to 70 vol.% solid lubricant (and, if required, contains from 0.3 to 10 vol.% friction controller and/or extreme-pressure agent). A plain bearing material is prepared by forming a film using the above-mentioned composition on the surface of a bearing base.
