PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a moisture-absorbing and releasing short fiber nonwoven fabric having excellent moisture-absorbing and releasing property and high strength and good dimensional stability. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric is constituted of a short fiber having a core-sheath conjugate type structure in which the sheath component is composed of a polyamide or a polyester and the core component is composed of a polyalkylene oxide-modified material or a mixture of its modified material with a polyamide or a polyester, and the polyalkylene oxide-modified material of the core component is contained in an amount of 5-30 wt.% based on the weight of fibers, and retains a prescribed shape by partial heat contact. |
