The wind classifier, with vertical axis, issuing the material centrally, has a tangential classifying air input (4) at the height of the rotor (8), a guide scoop crown fixed with radial clearance at the circumference of the rotor, the scoop rotor itself with a bearing on one side, a rotor drive shaft (2) and a casing (1) with outputs for fine and coarse material (23,24). The drive shaft, fine and coarse material output cavities (13,14) and the rotor bearing are all on the same side of, i.e. below, the rotor. A support device connects the drive shaft to the rotor.
