PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily confirm the connection state between a modular connector and a modular plug, with a good feeling, by providing an indication lamp such that the inside of hollow part of the modular connector can be irradiated with the light of the lamp, thereby enabling the semi-transparent or transparent modular plug inserted in the hollow part to be irradiated with the light thereof. SOLUTION: An electric contact 38 extending in a hollow part 48 is provided in a modular connector 36 while the tip of an indication lamp 44 such as LED embedded in a rear wall 42 is protrusively provided in the hollow part 44. Into the hollow part 44, a modular plug 56 is inserted from a front opening and fixed via a rib provided with a holding jig 66 engaged with a holding jig 40 of the connector 36. Accordingly, a plug contact 58 connected to a cable via a lead 60 is connected electrically. Furthermore, a body of the plug 56 is composed of semi-transparent or transparent material, whereby the light emitted from the lamp 44 can be recognized visually through the body of the plug 56.
