PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a (Y) metal, particularly zinc by regulating the pH of an aq. soln. in which (x) metal ions and (Y) metal ions small in ionization tendencies are coexistent, executing extraction with an organic phosphorus compd., adding the (X) metal thereto and precipitate away the remaining (Y) metal ions. SOLUTION: Steel-making dust is dissolved into an aq. soln. of an inorganic acid such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or the like, the pH of a leach liquor contg. metallic ions is regulated to 0.5 to 4.0, and, after that, a nonaqueous organic solvent contg. an organic phosphorus compd. represented by organic acid phosphoric esters is added thereto, which is separated into the soln. of the extracting agent contg. iron ions and an aq. soln. contg. zinc ions. The aq. soln. is added with zinc powder, and the remaining metallic ions having an ionization tendency smaller than that of zinc ions such as iron ions, lead ions or the like are precipitated as metals, and separated. The aq. soln. after cementation is evaporated and solidified, and zinc is recovered as zinc salt having high purity. From the soln. of the extracting agent, iron ions are stripped with an aq. soln. of an inorganic acid, the extracting agent is reutilized, and moreover, the stripping aq. soln. is evapoated and solidified to obtain an iron salt.
|
