SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR CARBON DIOXIDE FIRE EXTINGUISHING FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required to release carbon dioxide gas for enhanced safety by making it easier to check occupants in a protected section when actuating a carbon dioxide fire extinguishing facility. SOLUTION: Entry/exit information sampling devices 3 are installed at all of the entrances and exits of a protected section to sample ID information about people entering and exiting a room at each entrance and exit. The information obtained through the entry/exit information sampling devices 3 is input to a control part 31 provided inside the pushbutton control box 1 of a carbon dioxide fire extinguishing facility, to calculate the number of occupants in the protected section. An occupant number indicator 35 is provided in the pushbutton control box 1 to indicate the number of occupants calculated by the control part 31. Therefore, the number of occupants in the protected section can be known by means of the pushbutton control box 1.
