摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject by reacting an aromatic halogen compound with an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester compound in the presence of a catalyst based on a transition metal in the group VIII in carbon dioxide or fluoroform in a specific state in the coexistence of a base such as amines. SOLUTION: This method for producing a cinnamic acid ester derivative comprises reacting an aromatic halogen compound (e.g.; bromobenzene) with an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester compound (e.g.; methyl acrylate) together with amines (e.g.; methylamine) in the presence of a catalyst of a transition metal in the group VIII [e.g.; Pd(PPh3 )4 ] in carbon dioxide in a super- critical state (scCO2 ) or in fluoroform in the super-critical state (scCHF3 ) preferably at 40-150 deg.C to obtain the objective compound (e.g.; cinnamic acid ethyl ester derivative).
