PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a rat bite-damage preventing cable whose coating layer, including a repellent is prevented from making contact with a human body as much as possible, because the coating layer including the repellent against a rat and the like gives a stimulus when it makes contact with the human body. SOLUTION: In this cable, a coating provided outside an inner core 1 is doubled by providing an inner coating layer 2 including a repellent and a removable skin layer 3 on the outside thereof. The inner coating 2 is brought into a state that its outside is not exposed, that is, a state that the skin layer 3 is provided thereon, while the cable is manufactured, stored, and handless prior to its laying, and thereby the inner coating 2 is prevented from making direct contact with a human body and giving a stimulus to the human body. The inner coating 2 including the repellent is exposed by removing the skin layer 3 during the laying or after the laying, and animal nibbling damage prevention effect is exhibited. |
