The frame has pedicular screws (10) joined by connecting plates (20), with an angular locking wedge ring (30) between each screw head (13) and plate. The ring has one section which spans the upper noncircular portion of the screw head, comprising two legs (32) with a channel between having straight sides and a width slightly greater than two parallel opposite surfaces on the screw head. A second section spans the underside of the plate with two side lugs (33) engaging with the plate's lateral oblique surfaces (26).
