摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the uniformity of a display screen, such as luminance distribution and flicker distribution, toward the larger size and higher fineness of a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: This active matrix type liquid crystal display element has a plurality of main scanning electrode wiring 101 and signal electrode wiring 102 arranged in a matrix form as well as pixel electrodes A arranged in correspondence to the respective intersected points of the electrode wiring, main TFT (thin-film transistor) elements 103 formed to electrically connect the respective pixel electrodes and the scanning electrode wiring 101 and signal electrode wiring 102 corresponding thereto and sub-TFT elements 104 arranged with the scanning electrode wiring 101 different from the main TFT elements 103 on a main plane. The current supplying capability of the main TFT elements 103 is set lower than the current supplying capability of the sub-TFT elements 104. The polarity of the voltage supplied to the pixel electrodes via the sub-TFT elements 104 and the polarity of the voltage supplied to the pixel electrodes via the main TFT elements 103 are set at the same direction as a driving method.</p>
