Superconducting element for a micro-electronic circuit, comprisisng a substrate with a first layer of a superconducting first material provided with a first terminal for an electric current, a second layer of a superconducting second material provided with a second terminal for an electric current, and a third layer of a third material, which third layer forms a Josephson contact between the first and the second layer, wherein control means are provided for controlling the occupancy of the energy states in the third layer.
