The waistcoat incorporates permanent magnets with a defined remanence spectrum. The magnets are shaped and arranged so that their magnetic fields have minimal intensity on the area of the spine and front of the throat, and operate to full intensity on the lungs on one or both sides of the body. The magnets are aimed at the lungs through their fields, with a preferred remanence of 350-420 mT.
