PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wear of a roll or the like of a coating apparatus, by incorporating wear resistant filler obtained by coating alumina particles with resin in a wear resistant resin layer provided on an uppermost layer, and thus giving wear resistant to a decorative material, thereby decreasing a load to the apparatus. SOLUTION: A wear resistant resin layer 3 is provided on a surface of a base material 2 to form a decorative material 1 having wear resistance. The layer 3 is disposed on an uppermost surface of the material 1 to protect the uppermost surface and to give the wear resistance to the material 1. Alumina particles 6 are coated with resin. And, the layer 3 is formed of coating composition mixed with wear resistant filler 5 obtained by covering surfaces of the particles 6 with resin 7. The particles 6 are suitable with spherical structure to obtain more excellent wear resistance. As embodiments of the resin coating the particles 6, resin such as acrylic, urethane, polyester resin or the like is used. Auerage particle size of the filler 5 is suitably 20 to 200μm.
