PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mat for greening materials free from cloggings due to particles smaller in size than silt, capable of running greening activities even in e.g. deserts, and useful as a soil stabilizer or agricultural material, by dispersing a water-holding material in a specific heterofineness fiber-combined nonwoven form. SOLUTION: This mat for greening materials is obtained by dispersing a water-holding material such as a polymeric water-absorbing material, bentonite or gelatin in a heterofineness fiber combined nonwoven form comprising two or more kinds of thermoplastic fibers including polyethylene fiber with heat- jointed fiber contact points; wherein it is preferable that the finer fiber(s) is short fiber 20-128 mm in length and hydrophilic fiber(s) or hydrophilicized finer fiber(s) is blended in the above nonwoven form. |
