PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester compsn. contg. particles dispersed very well therein by using a specific mixer in a specified process. CONSTITUTION:A polyester compsn. contg. particles is prepd. by mixing particles into a polyester on a mixer. cooling the resulting mixture to solidify it, and melt mixing it on a vented mixer. The compsn. can be continuously produced by mixing the particles into a continuously produced molten polyester, cooling the resulting mixture to solidify it, and melt mixing it on a vented continuous mixer. The particles may be inorg. (e.g. titanium oxide) or org. (e.g. polystyrene), usually has a mean diameter of 0.01-5mum, and is contained in the compsn. usually in an amt. of 0.01-70wt.%. |
