PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emulsion stock solution capable of providing stable emulsion without using a large amount of emulsifier and suitable for cutting oil, hydraulic fluid or the like by including a base oil such as mineral oil, an emulsifier and an oil-soluble succinic imide compound. SOLUTION: This emulsion stock solution comprises (A) a base oil containing one or two or more kinds of oils selected from the group comprising mineral oils, synthetic oils and waxes as components, (B) preferably 0.5-3.0 wt.% (based on total amount of emulsion stock solution) oil-soluble succinic imide compound such as polyisobutene-succinic imide and (C) preferably at least 0.01-10 wt.% emulsifier such as a polyoxyethylenealkyl ether. Furthermore, the emulsion is preferably prepared by diluting the emulsion stock solution with water. |
