PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a specific compound inhibiting the reabsorption of serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine, enabling to effectively treat depression and other mental disorders in states little in side effects. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I [X is a group of formula II or III (R<1> is H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like); R<3> is R<1> : R<4> -R<7> are each H, a 2-6C alkenyl or the like; (n) is 1, 2], its salt or solvated compound. The compound can be used for medical treatment uses. The compound of formula I excluding (rac)-6- phenyl-2,3,5,6-tetrahydroimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinoline is a new compound, and concretely includes (+)-6-(4-fluorophenyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrahydroimidazo[2,1- alisoquinoline. The new compound of formula I is obtained e.g. by reacting ethylenediamine p-toluene sulfonic acid with a new intermediate of formula IV obtained from 2-(4-chlorobenzoyl)benzoic acid and so on as starting raw materials. |
