Vines are gathered and shaken by flexible arms (2a,2b) actuated by hydraulic jacks (5a,5b) under control of servo valves (11a,11b) and a microcomputer. Parameters such as frequency, amplitude, acceleration and confinement may be optimized and memorized for different vines and periods of decompression introduced. Shaking frequency may be automatically adjusted to speed of machine advancement.
