The passenger doors for a railway carriage has two sliding panels (3a,3b) where each has a stiffening profile (11) near the free ends (4). The profiles extend over most of the door height, and over at least 80% of the door height. In an Independent claim the door panels (3a,3b) have an elastic seal (12) at their free ends (4), over the major portion of the door height. They have curved surfaces (13) towards each other, to form two chambers (14) as a labyrinth seal with additional sealing lips (15). |
