PURPOSE:To remove the necessity of changing a probe position even if radius of a round shape specimen is changed, and save inspection time by arranging a probe so that ultrasonic beams can always pass through the imaginary apex of a V bottom path of a V shape roller. CONSTITUTION:A probe 3a is arranged so that supersonic beams 4a emitted perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of a round shape specimen 2a can pass through the imaginary apex 6 of a V bottom path of a V shape roller 1. The ultrasonic beams 4a come incident upon an incident point on the round shape specimen 2a at an incident angle beta, and are transmitted inside at a refractive angle theta. Since the probe 3a is arranged under the above condition, even if radius R of the round shape specimen is changed, the incident angle beta is not changed, so that the refraction angle theta is not changed either. Thereby, it is not necessary to change a probe 3a position according to the change in the radius R of the round shape specimen 2a. |
