PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable photographing with the adequate emitted light quantity of a flashing device regardless of an object condition by selecting one of plural photometric values in accordance with the object condition and controlling the emitted light quantity of the flashing device in the case of photographing in accordance with the photometric value. SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit 103 generates a luminance signal and a chrominance signal from a signal generated by an imaging device 102. A photometric circuit (1) 104 generates the photometric value of an image plane from the luminance signal generated by the circuit 103. A photometric circuit (2) 105 generates the photometric value by a photometric system different from the one in the circuit 104 by using the same luminance signal as that of the circuit 104. A subject condition detecting circuit 106 detects the subject condition, and outputs its detection information to a photometric circuit selecting circuit 107. The circuit 107 switches the circuit (1) 104 to/from the circuit (2) 105. A flashing device control circuit 108 controls the flashing of the flashing device 109 by using the photometric value of the photometric circuit selected by the circuit 107. |
