Rivet contact piece for electrical switchgear

An electrical switch contact piece (1) consists of a rivet with a rivet head (2) underside which has a surface configuration providing intimate fixing to a support strip (4). An Independent claim is also included for a method of fixing the above contact piece to a support strip, in which the rivet shaft (3) is inserted through a hole in the support strip and riveted at its end opposite the head. Preferred Feature: Weld ribs (5) are provided on the rivet head or the support strip for welding to the support strip surface or the rivet head and the contact piece may also be soldered to the support strip.
