<p>A down-fill speaker (32) for a large scale sound reproduction system is formed from a cabinet having generally rectangular and trapezoidal cross sections along vertical and horizontal axes. Upper and lower loudspeakers (32, 36, 34, 40) mounted in the cabinet and separated by a separator wall include a horn defined by two horn sections namely; a lower horn and an upper horn formed by walls of the cabinet. Acoustic signals generated by the upper loudspeaker is reflected off an interior side surface of a top wall of the cabinet's separator wall which provides down-fill coverage for a first area while acoustic signals generated by the lower loudspeaker is reflected off of a second interior surface of the separator wall which provides down-fill coverage for a second area.</p> |
