<p>Methods and apparatuses (20) for irradiating stent structures (16) that are selectively collapsible or reducible along their longitudinal axis to reduce the total length thereof are described. Providing a collapsible stent structure (16) reduces the effective surface area which must be exposed to the radiation beam (18), thereby reducing the time required for the irradiation process. Stent structures (16) suitable for irradiation using the method and apparatus (20) are also described.</p> |
