The heat developed in the heat-pump circuit (9) is now dispersed in the process, rather than the heat-pump circuit, and removed in a pre-cooling, first stage, condenser (15). A separate cooling water loop is used for condenser (15) so that a further condenser for the refrigerant circuit is no longer required. The heat exchanger (14) has a water jacket that is also cooled by the refrigerant. This water is used in the water-jet vacuum unit (6).
