<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently knead a mixture so as to heat the mixture to a temp. suitable for fermentation by mixing a waste containing org. matters and containing water and an auxiliary material having a low water content, kneading the mixture under pressure in a container which is preliminarily heated to a temp. suitable for fermentation. SOLUTION: The waste containing org. matters and water supplied from a reservoir A1 and an auxiliary material with a low water content from an auxiliary material tank B are mixed in a mixing zone C to obtain a proper water content (60 to 70%) of the mixture suitable for fermentation, and then reserved in a mixture tank D. A pressurizing and kneading container in a heating and mixing zone E is preliminarily heated to a temp. suitable for fermentation (about 50 deg.C), to which the mixture is supplied from the tank D and kneaded under pressure. During kneading, the heat generated during kneading is used to heat the mixture to a temp. suitable for fermentation. Then the mixture is discharged to a fermenting zone F, where the mixture is deposited and fermented to produce the compost material. As for the heating method of the pressurizing and kneading container, only the auxiliary material is supplied by a supplying means N and pressurized and kneaded and the heat generated is used to heat the container. Then the auxiliary material is returned by a circulating means P.</p> |
