PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device for a helicopter to surely and uniformly transmit the rotational torque by a pair of gear trines to one input. SOLUTION: A power transmission device is provided with a large gear 3, first and second small gears 4a, 4b of the same diameter diameter and sametooth number which are engaged with the large gear 3, a first large helical gear 6a to be connected to an upper part of the first small gear 4a through a first shaft 5a, second large helical gear 6b of the same diameter and the same tooth number as the first large helical gear 6a and opposite thereto in the direction of inclination of the helical teeth which is connected to a lower part of the second small gear 4b through a second shaft 5b, an input shaft 7 which is substantially parallel to the first shaft 5a and the second shaft 5b, an outer cylinder 8 to be slidably fitted to the input shaft 7, and first and second small helical gears 9, 9' which are fixed to upper and lower end parts of the outer cylinder 8 and engaged with the first and second large helical gears 6a, 6b. The first shaft 5a and the second shaft 5b have the bending rigidity to eliminate the phase difference between the first and second small gears 4a, 4b against uneven force to be applied to the first shaft 5a and the second shaft 5b in transmitting the same torque. |
