PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make influence due to secular changes and external environments difficult to be received in a nipping prevention device for vehicle window. SOLUTION: The nipping of foreign matter is detected by installing a hollow elastic tube 21 in which gas can be injected along an edge part of window glass 7, supplying gas within the elastic tube 21 at the time of a closing operation of the window glass 7 and detecting lowering of gas flow rate at the inside or pressure changes of gas at the inside when this elastic tube 21 is crushed by the abutting of the foreign matter. A nipping prevention device which hardly receives influence due to oxidation, corrosion or dirt can be provided. At the time of the full open, the elastic tube 21 is withered, the application of stress is eliminated and durability is improved. |
