IMAGE READER CAPABLE OF STORING IMAGE DATA, AND IMAGE DATA SELECTING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a required document from being erroneously outputted by selecting and outputting the required document on a control panel while watching the display device of a digital copy device capable of storing image data and selecting the required document while watching the reduced image of the document. SOLUTION: An image original is read by an image reading part 112 and stored in a memory S114 as image data. Based on the image data in a memory S119, a reduced coarse image preparing means prepares reduced coarse image data. The reduced coarse image data are displayed as an icon by the display means of a control panel 117. When the displayed icon is designated while using a pointing means, the designated image data are read from the storage means.
