PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove filming by grinding an image carrier, without causing grinding unevenness or a scratch on an image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted to visualize an electrostatic latent image on a surface of an image carrier 2 by means of developer fed from a developer carrier of a developing device 7. A grinding process for grinding the image carrier surface is executed by setting the surface speed of the image carrier 2 from 0 to 1/10 times of the surface speed of the image carrier 2 at the image forming operation time, and setting the surface speed of the developer carrier from the unmagnified speed to 2.5 times of the surface speed of the developer carrier at the time of image forming operation. |
