PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device for an electrotographic equipment or the like capable of quickly adapting itself for use in an environmental condition of high temperature and humidity. SOLUTION: This device is provide with an intermediate transferring roller 34 on which a color toner image formed on a photosensitive drum is transferred, and a secondary transferring device 35 to allow the color toner image on the intermediate transferring roller 35 to be transferred on a paper sheet. The secondary transferring device 35 is provided with a secondary transferring member 50 and a plunger solenoid 52 for switching this position. The secondary transfer-ring member 50 does not rotate like a roller. A first member 61 made of conductive foamed urethane rubber whose volume resistivity is 10<9>Ωcm and a second member 62 made of conductive foamed urethane rubber whose volume resistivity 10<11>Ωcm are respectively fixed on a main body 60, so as to constitute the secondary transferring member 50. At ordinary temp., a first member 61 is brought into close contact with an intermediate transferring roller 34, and at high temp./high humidity, the position of the secondary transferring member is sifted therefor the second member 62 is brought into contact by pressing with the intermediate transferring roller 34.
