PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a malfunction of a controller even if a user charged by static electricity is brought into contact with an electric component case by electrically connecting the case to an outdoor unit via a heat exchanger of the indoor unit. SOLUTION: A switch 13 for giving an operation command to the air conditioner by a user is provided in an electric component case 1 containing a controller. In the case of charging a user by static electricity or the like when the user operates the switch 13 to alter an operating content, the static electricity is discharged from his approached finger to the case 1 so that charge flows from a metal plate 6 to a side plate 2a of a heat exchanger 2 via a lead wire 11 and metal plate 3. Since the plate 2a is electrically connected further to a compressor of an outdoor unit or the exchanger via piping 14, the same effect as it is grounded to a virtual earth is obtained. Thus, even when the user is brought into contact with the case 1 to operate the switch 13 to be discharged, an erroneous operation of the controller is prevented. |
