摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength separating photodetector which is capable of detecting light signals keeping high in degree of wavelength band separation, even if its photodetecting part is lessened in size in such a case where wavelength bands are multiplexed in a wavelength division multiplex optical communication. SOLUTION: This module is equipped with a photodetector 2 which is provided with, at least, a first photodetecting part 2a and a second photodetecting part 2b that are capable of detecting signals of two or more wavelength bands and an operation part 9 which calculates the strength of electrical signals of a first and a second frequency band from the electrical signals obtained through the first and second photodetecting part, 2a and 2b, on the basis of previously set or measured photodetection sensitivities of the photodetecting parts 2a and 2b to the first and the second frequency band.
