PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange spherical bodies to apply grooving in the peripheral direction materially with equal intervals and to carry out high precision grooving without causing deformation at the time of assembly on a part to apply grooving of the spherical bodies. SOLUTION: This grooving tool is furnished with a tool main body 22 with a shaft part 26 having a cylindrical outer peripheral surface 27 extending in the axial direction projectively provided on its head end surface, a holding member 24 having an installation hole 36 through which the shaft part 26 is inserted and to be installed on the tool main body 22 and a plurality of spherical bodies 38 for grooving. A plurality of storage recessed parts 32 opening to inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the holding member 24 with materially equal intervals in the peripheral direction are provided on a surface of the holding member 24 facing against the tool main body 22, each of a plurality of the spherical bodies 38 is stored in each of the storage recessed parts 32 corresponding to it, and a part of each of the spherical bodies 38 is projected outward in the radial direction from the holding member 24 by holding it by a head end surface 25 of the tool main body 22 and the storage recessed part 32 of the holding member 24 in a state of making contact with the cylindrical outer peripheral surface 27 of the shaft part 26. |
