<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating organic waste water in which treatment efficiency is remarkably enhanced without deteriorating water quality of treated water in the final stage and the amount of excess sludge is drastically reduced by a simple method, and a simple and economical activated sludge method capable of being applied to a small scale facility is utilized. SOLUTION: In the method for treating organic waste water, water to be treated is applied to bacteria treatment in substantial inexistence of protozoa in a first treatment tank and an organic substance is oxidatively decomposed and also bacteria are converted into nonflocculable bacteria. Thereafter, treated water is introduced into a second treatment tank in which activated sludge exists, and treated by a two- phase activated sludge method in which sticking protozoa treatment is performed in substantial inexistence of nonsticking protozoa in the inside of the second treatment tank, and nonflocculable bacteria are allowed to stick on protozoa to be shagocytized and removed. Then, at least a part of sludge is introduced into the reaction treatment tank from the second treatment tank or a settling tank. Microorganisms constituting sludge in the inside of this tank are sterilized and applied to solubilization treatment and, thereafter treated sludge is introduced into the first and second treatment tanks.</p> |
