Rail track handling system

A prefabricated tracks section (12) is secured under a carrying frame (10) and is transported on flat bed wagons complete with two portal cranes (18,20) whose legs are folded to lie inside the width of the wagons. At the track laying site the crane lags are extended to sit on temporary rails on integral bogeys and the track section and carrying frame are hoisted off the wagons by the extended hoists. Motors on the bogeys move the system to the track laying position.
