<p>The invention concerns dental cement compositions to be used as material for provisionally luting dental prostheses which have come loose or as material for provisionally sealing dental cavities which have become unsealed, and a dental first aid kit containing such compositions. Said dental cement compositions consist of two constituents and are characterised in that they comprise: as first constituent, a powder obtainable from a filler material comprising mineral fillers and, optionally, organic fillers, by transforming at least 70 wt.% of the total weight of mineral fillers of said material into hydroxides by treating said mineral fillers with a mineral or organic acid and by calcining the treated fillers, then in reducing to powder the calcination residue and adding thereto, if required, the remainder of the mineral and organic fillers; as second constituent, a water soluble binder comprising one or several hydrocolloids in an aqueous phase.</p> |
