<p>Processes using heterogeneous adsorbents are disclosed for synthesis of sulfur-bridged molybdenum dimers with carbonyl containing cyclopentadienyl ligands and water soluble carboxylate salts thereof. Molybdenum sulfide dimers synthesized according to this invention are particularly useful agents for separation, recover, and/or purification of unsaturated hydrocarbons, in particular, relatively impure olefins produced by thermal cracking of suitable hydrocarbon feedstocks.</p> |
