METHOD FOR MAKING CROSS-BRACES FOR BLOCKING BOTTLES OF DIFFERENT DIAMETERS FROM A SINGLE BLANK AND CORRESPONDING BLANK

The invention concerns a method for making a cut from a rectangular cardboard blank (2) for mounting a cross-brace designed to be placed inside a case of half-dozen or a dozen bottles all having the same diameter D which can vary between a minimum value Dm and a maximum value DM comprising a rectangular or square base (4), creasing lines (5a-5b) raised perpendicular to the base (4) sides, corresponding foldable flaps (6a-6d) raised perpendicular to the base (4) and locked into one another in this position, each flap (6a-6d) extending, over a protected height H opposite each bottle, equal to the distance between the cleavage line (5a-5d) and the corresponding flap (6a-6d) edge. The invention is characterised in that it consists in using one and the same blank (2) whatever the diameter D of the bottles and in varying the position of each cleavage line (5a-5d) and hence the protected height H of each flat (6a-6d) depending on the diameter D of the bottles. The invention also concerns a blank for implementing the method.
