Electrophotographic machine has a fusing roller (51) and a pressure roller (26) forming a nip (48) though which a print receiving medium is passed to fuse toner to the medium. The pressure roller (26) has a central shaft (37), deformable material (38) provided about the shaft, and a cylindrical outer metal shell (40), e.g. of brass of about 0.3 to 0.5 mm thickness. Also claimed is the pressure roll where the deformable material (38) is silicone rubber.
